Short summary
Transition zones between bridges and embankments are the most maintenance-prone locations in the Netherlands road network due to the very compressible soft soils present in the largest part of this country, resulting in severe differential settlements and cost impact. This study shows how to exploit both conventional and DInSAR monitoring datasets in order to forecast future settlements and assist the Road Manager in the decision making process of new maintenance operations.
