Short summary
We present the principles intended to achieve maximum irrigation efficiency with the use of decision support systems, which generalize our experience in irrigation management in Ukraine. Relying on pressure indicator of moisture content we recommend maintaining it in a narrow high range. To predict time and rate of watering we recommend to use mathematical modelling tools and remote sensing data to disseminate predictions to the areas not covered by on-site monitoring.
