Short summary
Peat subsidence with agriculture activities is one of the crucial issues for future land use management. Wet use of peatlands has been proposed as an option for mitigation of the subsidence. In this study, we employed paddy use peatland in Japan and quantitatively evaluated the effect of the wet use of peatland on mitigation of the subsidence. The result shows that the paddy use of peatland can effectively reduce subsidence.
